SPICE IT UP

                           LOSE WEIGHT WITH HOT SPICES  

Hot spices raise the metabolism.  Some studies show that your metabolism can be increased by as much as 50% using spices. This rise can last over two hours.  Pepper boosts thermogenesis, energy burning, and may help with weight loss.  Researchers in England added a teaspoon of red pepper sauce and a teaspoon of mustard to every meal.  The study showed a metabolic rate increase of up to 25%.

Some spicy treats are:
chili peppers, cayenne, horseradish, ginger, salsa, chutney, garlic, onions, wasabi, curry powder and hot mustard.

 Try diping your carrots, celery and other vegetables in hot sauce or hot mustard.

Spices increase the rate at which you burn fat.  When cooking use pungent spices such as allspice, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, coriander and cumin. Make your chili with lots of beans- a great source of fiber- and lots of hot spices. 

Spices also make you thirsty so you drink more water and feel full. If hot spices should burn, drink milk instead of water. Milk will wash away fat soluble capsaicin. Spice up your meals and enjoy the benefits.
