| Here are some simple techniques you can try to stop the urge to eat in its
tracks. Anything that can stop the desire to eat, even if only for a few
minutes, can help to break the cycle. Be sure to experiment with these things.
Who knows, one of them might just be what you
want. 1. Wash your mouth out with mouthwash. This tends to eliminate the urge to eat. 2. Brush your teeth. Once your mouth is clean and fresh the desire to eat is gone. 3. Smell peppermint. Peppermint signals the brain you are full. 4. Sip tea. Better yet sip a weight loss tea. 5. Drink a full glass of water. Sometimes we get the urge to eat and we are dehydrated.
